It's a place where widows can facebook and share their thoughts and feelings and hey...even jokes. Yes my beloved Peter is gone but since his promotion home last year the only thing that has kept me going is my ability to laugh at any situation. And when I do my family, his family, my friends and co-workers know I'm not denying my grief it's helping me walk through it. They also remind me it's what Peter loved about me the most my quick wit.

- Widows: Life after Death
Starting this group has been a big part of my healing with the support and understanding I've received and given. The purpose of this group will be for us to be able to socialize in a group or one on one with other women who understand. Anyone who is a Widow understands about the need to be with others to talk, gather for grief sharing, healing, and who are now new to being single again...this is a safe environment.
You don't have to worry about crying, laughing, or what is my time frame for grief. It is different for each of us. You are not judged here. Sometimes we feel like we are women now lost due to the death of our partner and we are now missing all the richness that we earned by making our loving relationships so special. Some of us can be past the "hurt" of our loss; but not past (ever!) the emptiness or loniless that comes with losing one's best friend, lover, confidant, co-parent, partner, other half! It doesn't matter where you are at in your grief journey you are welcomed here.
We are called butterflies because the butterfly symbolizes new life from and old one rebirth after death.
As we begin this new walk we are now experiencing Life after Death.

Okay this link is not to a christian music site...it's a site I maintain for the secular music Peter did with a group of guys he once refered to as "the greatest musicians, singer, songwriters" he ever had the priviledge to perform with. He really loved you Ozzy, Buzzy and Andy. So, check it out and again remember you are going to see another side of Peter that some of you who knew him the last 15 years of his life would go..."WHAT"???

Sent From Ebove is an online community with a single mission to connect local people in need with those who can help. It's really that simple. Our goal is to touch as many people as possible with acts of generosity that may quite literally change their lives.
Connecting People Together
There are thousands of caring and generous people in [Southern California] who understand that the act of giving is one of life's greatest pleasures. They are willing to offer their services, time, clothing, household items, referrals, monetary gifts, or support and guidance to local individuals, families or organizations truly in need.
Sadly, there are many in our community, both young and old, who are struggling, either emotionally, financially, or both. We all go through rough times in our lives and just need an outstretched hand to help get us back on our feet. Maybe someone has lost a job... or a spouse... or is quietly suffering in some other way. It may be someone you already know. Often times, it seems the people suffering the most don't know how, or who, to ask for help.
That's why we created Sent From Ebove - to connect caring donors with those in need in our community. Through a free and safe marketplace, neighbors are helping neighbors.
How the Miracle Works
To get started, individuals or nonprofits simply post a sincere need or wish, no matter how small or large the request. If anyone from our growing list of local donors is able to provide assistance or support, their help will be Sent From Ebove.
All we ask is that those who receive the gift of someone else's generosity make a point to repay the good deed by helping someone else on the list. In this way, the good will is passed on!
For Donors
True giving is one of life's greatest pleasures. Sent From Ebove is a simple online service that privately connects generous donors directly with those who are in need in our community.
At Sent From Ebove, our goal is to get help to as many people as possible. We need your charitable support to accomplish our mission.
How can you help? There are many ways to participate as a Sent From Ebove donor, and they don't always involve giving money. We all have unique gifts of talent, skills, knowledge, or even just time.
Just some of needs we hear about in our community include:
- Food, bus or gas gift cards
- New or used clothing
- Household items
- Warm blankets
- Job guidance or industry connections
- Empathy or comforting words
Remember, even the smallest gift can change the life of someone who is in desperate need.
As a Sent From Ebove donor, you will have the opportunity to give from your heart and personally pick the recipient of your generosity. You could be the miracle answer to someone's prayers. You will feel wonderful for giving, and maybe make a new friend or two in the process. How great is that?

In an average month you might hear something like this: 130 to 150 families a month would say we helped with food from our food pantry 20 families would say we gave gas vouchers to get them to work or to the doctor 20 would say we offer computer classes to improve their job skills 20 would say we provided a computer to take home at the completion of the class 10 would say we offer GED tutoring 25 would say we counsel with people 10 would say we offer literacy tutoring 10 would say we offer parenting classes 25 would say we offer job referrals 5 would say we provide bikes for transportation to work 150 would say we network and refer to other services in the community 50 would say we help people (through volunteer service) to get furniture 20 would say we assist them in donating furniture or appliances to others 15 people would say we assist with some kind of advocacy Every client would say someone spent time with them!
